7 Key Factors To Be Successful On FacebookOn August 26, 2017 by atheistbillboards
Is Facebook still a mystery for you? Don’t know where to start? Here are 7 key factors that will allow you to get your Facebook Page worthy of the name! Basic at first sight but very efficient, taking care of those keys will strengthen your community management.
KEY #1: PROFILE PICTURE
By picture, I mean a professional one. Your profile picture is the first thing that visitors will see (maybe the last!), therefore you need to get a photo of your logo: neat, professional and possibly creative. If you are a one-man company, perhaps it’s better to upload a photo of yourself… with no partner or pet around you. The more you humanize your brand the better. Opt for a size of 180×180 px, also do yourself a favour and let a professional make your logo unless your are comfortable with designing.
KEY #2: VANITY URL
Today, when you setup your page, Facebook ask you to customize your URL address. Because by having a custom URL address, you will ensure to make it shareable, searchable, memorable and it will be shorter. Since in your social media marketing strategy you will consider to put your facebook page URL address on your business cards and other ads, you will need to secure it. So when you set up your vanity URL, make it as identical as possible to your brand name and other social media custom URL address. For example facebook.com/username. Remember that you can change it only once.
KEY #3: ABOUT
The section that will serve you the most. Often underestimated, this box is designed for SEO purposes. But of course, It is also designed to give further information to visitors. When facebook search engine (a little picky one!) look for information, it goes to the about section, where all your key informations are located such as your activity, your location, website address, products and on. Now with the graph search and hashtags, it will change a bit but still, you will need to fill your about section. When filled thoroughly, you enable your page to be more accessible, so take the time to fill every field. Moreover, you have to fill it simply because when visitors are looking for informations, this is where they go once they found your page. Think about how frustrating when you find your brand facebook page, hoping to find some information like opening hours but it is all empty!
KEY #4: CONTENT
Post on a daily basis (up to 5 times depending on your activity). You don’t want to overwhelm your audience with promotional contents. This is not what social media is about. It is about building a trustful relationship with your audience to convert them later into customers. What type of posting would you need to guarantee yourself to be safe from the block list? KEY #5: ANSWER
That’s a very good opportunity here to show that you are not disdainful like some other companies out there. Many companies are missing the point of social media, if you are only posting and don’t reply or rarely when you get comments / questions then you are doing all this for nothing. Answers will demonstrate to your audience that you are human before anything else and it will demonstrate as well some values like being considerate, congruent and professional. Moreover, you will also maintain your eReputation, bring support in the case your clients need help to use your product, ensure of your clients loyalty and above everything… close deals!
KEY #6: CUSTOMIZE THUMBNAILS
A good way to stand out from other pages is to customize thumbnails (click on the image below). By customizing your thumbnails you will put your brand’s culture forward. All the things that distinguish yourself from the others. What kind of thumbnail you need to create? It depends on your product and your strategy. If you sell bags for instance, you want to have a brochure of all your items, if you are a consultant and have a free podcast to offer, it would be wise to have an opt-in box.
KEY #7: PHOTOS
Too few companies understand that albums can be a great use. Your audience loves images. The human brain get much more stimulated by colours and shapes than words. As they say, one picture is worth a thousand words. The more photos you will share, the more likely your audience will remember you and be responsive. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be extroverted or do a show like Miley Cyrus to get your audience’s attention. So don’t be shy and display photos of your staff, events you attended to, your office, etc. Don’t forget to write caption to enlighten your visitors. To create some stylish photos, you can use apps. I recommend you to use Instagram which is also a social network, so you will not only edit your photos but reach more targets.
